Research Interests

My research interests generally include model reduction, system identification, and distributed control in large-scale dynamic networks, with applications to power grids, networked robots, and biochemical reactions.

What's New


  • Dec. 15: Our paper entitled “A Robust Consensus Algorithm for Current Sharing and Voltage Regulation in DC Microgrids” received the 2020 IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology Outstanding Paper Award. “This award recognizes the paper's originality, relevance of the application, clarity of exposition, and demonstrated impact on control systems technology”. The award was presented virtually during the CSS Awards Ceremony at the 2020 IEEE Conference on Decision and Control.

  • Sept. 11: I was invited to present my work in the International e-Seminar on Control and Systems Theory organized by the University of Kaiserslautern, Germany.

  • July 17: Our paper entitled “Balanced Truncation of Networked Linear Passive Systems” received the Paper Prize Award in the triennium 2017-2019 from IFAC journal Automatica, one of the top journals in the systems and control domain. This award was announced during the IFAC World Congress 2020.

  • July 13: I attended the IFAC World Congress 2020, which was the 1st Virtual IFAC World Congress (IFAC-V 2020).

  • June 27: I was invited to the 39th (online) Workshop of Research Center for Complex Systems and Network Sciences, held at Southeast University, Nanjing. I gave a talk on “Identification and Approximation Problems in Networked Systems”.

  • March 10-12: I attended the 39th Benelux Meeting on Systems and Control 2020 held at Hotel Mennorode, Elspeet, the Netherlands and presented my work on “Allocation of Excitation Signals for Generic Identifiability of Dynamic Networks”.
